Sometimes our workers use ribbons on our trees to assist them with counting and such. These ribbons are for our workers only. Please feel free to cut these trees.
Time for the sawing job
Finally, you find the perfect tree. Carefully saw the tree off as close to the ground as possible. This will give you plenty of space for the tree stand as well as allow for the best planting of new trees for future years.
In most instances, the lower limbs of the tree have been removed from the stem for placement in the Christmas tree stand.
Please DO NOT cut the top off the tree. If the top is too long in your opinion, see one of our helpers at The Shed and they will provide a deduction if necessary. If you cut the top without talking with us we will assume at least a foot and charge accordingly.
If you need help cutting your tree, inquire at The Shed.
Bringing in your tree
The next step is to carry or drive the tree to The Shed where our friendly helpers will assist you. Do not drag a tree -- this will rub needles off the tree and get mud on it.
Baling
The baler will securely wrap the tree in twine or netting (depending upon the baler used), making it easier to load, transport, and set up. There is a small charge for this popular service.
Visiting The Shed
Visit The Shed to chat with friends and enjoy Christmas music. Wreaths and other tree accessories are available, as well as free hot cocoa, cider, coffee and treats for the kids.
Taking your tree home
Once you pay for your tree at The Shed, our friendly helpers can assist in loading your tree and securing it if necessary. Twine for doing so is complimentary. (Note: at certain times this service may be limited due to high demand.)
